Born and raised in Crete Greece, Maria started dancing Greek Folkloric dance since before she can remember.

Since 2017 she has been teaching and performing salsa and Belly dance in Greece. Also, she has traveled around Europe to attend in international festivals.

2019 she become the Balkan salsa Champion in the pro soloist category.

2023 and 2024 she got 1st place in professional salsa soloist category in the Greek open salsa championship at the salsa spring festival.

She moved to Denmark in 2020 to further educate herself in dance and got a Diploma from the International Dance Academy of Copenhagen.

In late 2021 she formed the Alkyonides Ladystyling team
